This country’s land is raw, diverse and powerful. Two seas are our sandwich, and the adventurous may visit both coasts in less than a day, confronted with dramatic landscape changes as they go. All this from a little island country floating in the Pacific.
Orphans Kitchen lives within these landscapes, and remains faithful to a place that has so much edible love to give. The kitchen looks to the bush, the ocean, the orchards, the fjords and the plains as tools for exploring national flavours and identity. This is how expressions on the plate are teased out, ones that express the nuances of our Oceania home.

Open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday 4.30pm till late. Brunch from 7am Monday-Friday, and from 8am on weekends.
Oyster happy hour every evening from 4.30pm -6.30pm. We'll be shucking Waiheke's finest, Te Matuku Bay ($3 each).
Live music every Friday afternoon in our sun drenched courtyard.
We use the first Tuesday of every month as an open test kitchen. It's a chance to create freely and workshop new dish ideas. $70/person for 4 course set menu.
